PREAMBLE

Chinese industrial parks are a great deal; it is possible to list over 4000. The parks can be classified according to their location and/or their typology; those placed in the Municipality of Shanghai and Beijing, for instance, assure facilities and  infrastructural equipments of high standard but are very expensive and the best ones are already fully allocated. Those in the Province of Guangdong, which has been the first area to be developed are also saturated and any how expensive. Those in the Province of Jiangsu, in the belt of Shanghai, are instead in full expansion and, with their still low prices are quite attractive. 

It’s in this area that is located the town of TAIXING with its Park.

TAIXING, with a population of 1.28 million, it covers an area of 1,252 Km2 and has an enviable position, placed as it is alongside Yangtzè River, with an excellent port, half way between Shanghai and Nanjing, in an area of full development, in the new industrial belt of Shanghai’s Province 

 

 

It is in this town that in 1993 it has been approved the Taixing Economic Development Zone; propriety of the People’s Government of Jangsy in which the  TAIXING URBAN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRIAL PARK is situated

 

 

The planned area of the Park is 9.3 Km2. divided in two parts:

·         one for the industry of 7.3 Km2 and

·         one for the commerce of 2 Km2

 

 AVAILABLE INFRASTRUCTURES

EXPRESSWAY – placed on the crossroad of highways  BeijingShanghai,  NanjingNantong  and Nanjing – Jingiang, Taixing has five passageways and you can get to every part of China conveniently and quickly

RAILWAY – the railway from Xinyi to Changxing crosses the hinterland of Taixing  and allowed easy links to the  “Longhai railway” (Lianyungang, Xuzhou, Zhengzhou, Luoyang, Xi’an, Baoji, Lanzhou) and the “Jinghu railway” (Beijing, Tianjin, Ji’nan, Xuzhou, Nanjing, Zhengjiang, Changzhou, Wuxi, Suzhou, Shanghai ) Taixing has a modern freight station

AIRPORTS – Taixing can be reached in less than two hours from the airports of  Shanghai Hongqiao and of Nanjing Lukou. In less than one hour one can reach the airports of  Wuxi and Changzhou.

PORT – The port of Taizhou has deep waters and it a first-class open port. It permits to anchor cargoes up to 50.000 ton. There is a dock container at Guochuan which is only 6 km from the Park.

 

FACILITIES 

POWER SUPPLY – there is a substation of 110 kV only for the Park

TELECOMUNICATIONS – all services like IDD, ASDL, and DDN are available

WATER SUPPLY – the water source is from v Yangtzè River and can supply 112.000 ton per day in the Park

DRAINAGE – a drain pipe of 600 mm. diameter is connected to the Treatment Centre where 100.000 ton sewage can be disposed each day

ROADS – The roads are set up in term of the characteristic of industry. They ensure that all kinds of
industries can develop normally.

EDUCATION AND LABOUR MARKET

There are five colleges in Taixing. The are two middle schools that are “key demonstration” for whole China.

Institutes and universities admit every year more than 4000 students graduated from Taixing.  Among these, about 3000, once completed the studies, come back to work at  Taixing.

On the other hand in nearby Shanghai there are around fifty institutes and university which offer every kind of education.  Among these many are graduated knowing Italian language..

RAW MATERIALS

There’s abundant raw material supply In Taixing and the nearby cities within 200KM area. including ferrous metal, non-ferrous metal, all kinds of chemically raw material and finished product, mechanical equipment, hardware fittings. Generally speaking, material and fitting used by universal manufacturing can be supplied equally.

 INDUSTRIES PRESENTS IN THE AREA

There’re more than 2000 industrial  enterprises of fair scale in Taixing among which 27 are provincial enterprises. There are nearly 6000 kinds of products in 10 categories, such as machinery, high industry, textile and garments, foodstuffs, chemicals, medicinem hardware, electronics and by-products for animals.. . Completed accessorial establishment for all kinds of industrial enterprise can be found within 50KM radius bound.

 

Accessorial machining  and service is complete. Many manufacture in different field with most development potential settle here, such as automobile industry, IT profession, IA profession, machine manufacture, light industry and food industry. Companies already entering the park at present are of the following field: cotton, garment, machine, wiring, packing and color printing, automobile accessory and component, cool rolling stainless steel sheet, cool rolling thin sheet/strip, plastic paper for wall, environment protecting machine and food.

 

 Why TAIXING ?

BECAUSE,  if China represents a market of 1.3 billion population, the Yangtzè River – which accounts of 10 % of the national population – is the bridgehead of this market and  e Taixing is the golden key to the market.
